Children & Youth
Church is like a giant family and it’s great to have a whole range of ages involved. As part of this, we know how important it is to provide activities and support for children and their parents. This can be seen through groups during the week, some just for the children and some for the parents too. We also make sure to cater for our children in our times of gathering together.
We also know the importance of looking after the children and families that are part of our church activities and so we are committed to creating safe spaces. We do this, in part, through effective safeguarding measures. Find out more here.
Sunday Mornings
Each week our church takes time to gather together at 10:30am. We start the morning all together for praise and worship and then the children head out to their own groups about half way through. These groups are led by DBS certified volunteers who will lead the children in activities, crafts and stories.
Each term we also have some Sundays where we all join together for the morning and others where the children have an entire separate service just for them.
For those with babies, you are very welcome to stay in with your child – we know babies sometimes make noises and that’s OK! If you wish you can also take your child to play with some toys – you will, however, need to stay with your baby. If you need any hot water or bottles warming for food then please ask someone, alternatively if you breastfeed then feel free to do so – if you would like somewhere more private then again, please ask.

Sprouts is our group for pre-school children and babies. We meet every Tuesday from 9am-11am during term-time.
Each session starts with a time of free play with choices of puzzles, toys, crafts and play equipment. We stop for a snack and a time for stories and songs and then we clear the room to make space to zoom around on ride-on cars and bikes.
Everyone is welcome to come along with their little one/s. We ask for a donation of £2 per family each session to help us cover costs. Snack bowls and drinks are included as well as hot drinks for the adults. We also have a number of cakes and treats available to buy if you fancy something extra!
Primary & Secondary
During the week there are opportunities for all children and youth – from 5-18 – to engage, through the Brigades facilitated by the church:
Boys Brigade meets Monday evenings in term-time 6pm – 7:30pm
Girls Brigade meets Wednesday evenings in term-time 6:30pm – 7:45pm
Both of these groups seek to provide opportunities for young people to learn, grow and discover in a safe, fun and caring environment which is rooted in the Christian faith.
