Prayer Meeting in August
August tends to be a quiet month in the church's calendar but there is one event we would like you to put in your diaries. Wed 14th 7:30, we will be holding a prayer meeting. Do come along and join with others as we seek God together.
Ukulele Evening Friday 16th August 7pm
The Sedgley Strummers, a Ukulele band, are playing at our church in August. Tickets are available from Margaret at £5 each. The proceeds will go to the work that needs doing in the Sanctuary which includes a new carpet.
Dave and Mandy Scott-Morgan Friday 20th Sept 7pm
We' have had Dave and Mandy with us for our morning service recently. They will be back in September to lead an evangelistic evening of music and testimony. This is an opportunity to prayerfully consider who to invite and bring them along. Admission will be by ticket and they will be available soon.
Harvest Sunday 29th Sept
For our Harvest Services this year we will be supporting the work of Operation Agri. There will be opportunity to hear about one of their projects and to respond by donating to that work. We are also planning to have soup and a roll after the morning service with the idea that you donate the cost of your Sunday lunch to Operation Agri.
Messages Of Thanks:
Bring & Buy
On behalf of the Girls and Boys Brigade could we say a big thank you to anyone who contributed to our Bring and Buy sale at the Fun day. Whether it was contributing items to sell, buying things or helping on the stall. We managed to raise £234.32. Thank you.
I have just completed my Radiotherapy sessions at New Cross Hospital.
Margaret and I would like to thank all who showed concern during the
sessions and wished me well. All I must do now is to take it easy and
await the scan and PSA results.
I would like to thank everyone involved for their help and support when the Action Team (Erin, Emily & Cameron) came to visit last week to share information with us their time in India. Thank you to those who helped with the planning, hosting and taking time to speak to them to find out more. Thank you also for the donations of food and money that you generously provided.
