31st May

Today is Pentecost Sunday and our bible verses for the week are:

Acts 2:4

All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.

Psalms 139:1-4

You have searched me, Lord,
    and you know me.
You know when I sit and when I rise;
    you perceive my thoughts from afar.
You discern my going out and my lying down;
    you are familiar with all my ways.
Before a word is on my tongue
    you, Lord, know it completely.

Our Bible verses for the week:

Isaiah 26:3

You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in You.

Romans 5: 1-2

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand.  And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.

Give thanks to the God of gods. His love endures for ever.
Give thanks to the Lord of lords. His love endures for ever.

John 15:5
I am the vine, you are the branches.  If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.

John 15 5

9th May

Our Bible verses for the week:

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for His name sake. Psalms 23 v 1-3

The words of Jesus Luke 6 v 47-48:

As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. They are like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on rock.  When the flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built.

With thoughts and prayers,

2nd May,

Dear All,

Our verses for this week:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.

Lamentations 3:22-23

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. 35 By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”

John 13:34-35
